Galvanized fence has been the mainstay
of security fencing most of this century. Many galvanized
chain link fences built in the 1950's and 1960's still
provide security to this day. Why? Because the zinc
that bonds to the steel during galvanizing protects
the steel from the elements and thereby prevents rust
and corrosion for many, many years. This protective
coating of zinc is applied after the fence is woven
so there is no manufacturing damage to the coating and
all cut ends are protected as well. Now, just as then,
galvanized chain link fences give years of maintenance
free service, and is a most economical choice.
Galvanized fence systems are available in a wide variety
of wire sizes, meshes and heights. All fabric, post,
rails, and structural components are galvanized (zinc
coated) for long life. Zincs natural protective properties
protect the steel to give you a fence that is strong
and corrosion resistant. |
